Copper Bangle Workshop

Join Tasha Scannell, small-scale metalsmithing maker and tutor, for a hands-on introduction to copper jewellery making and leave wearing something you've made with your own hands: a copper bangle with a twist.
Copper has long been associated with a host of wellbeing claims, from easing joint stiffness to supporting circulation, and many wearers swear by the subtle warmth of copper against the skin. The science is still debated, but there's no denying copper's soft glow and tactile charm make it a beautiful metal to wear - whatever benefits it brings along the way.
In this workshop, you'll be guided through the full journey of making your bangle from basic material to finished piece. You'll start by measuring up to get the perfect fit, then move on to sawing and filing your copper tube, before shaping and wrapping it into its signature twist. If you’d like you can add texture to give your bangle real character, before polishing it to a shine - with the option of applying a patina for a beautifully aged, antique finish.
No experience necessary - just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty.
