The world's largest collaborative embroidery project, The Red Dress is both a striking visual icon and a global storytelling phenomenon. See it displayed in Cornwall for the first time in the Heart of Cornwall Gallery, alongside the story of its creation by artist Kirstie Macleod.
To accompany The Red Dress here in Cornwall we will be showing Madeleine Walker’s Urban Sirens, a hand-embroidered cape exploring themes of sustainability and Cornish folklore, and a local community artist will create a participation project in response to the garment and its themes.
